Garush Melkonyan is a visual artist who works with moving images, installations and sculptures.
His work has been presented internationally in solo exhibitions at Rencontres d'Arles (FR); Jean Claude Maier Galerie, Frankfurt (DE) and Lasecu, Lille (FR), as well as group exhibitions, screenings and festivals in institutions such as National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul (KR); National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne (AUS); Palais de Tokyo, La Villette and Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles, Paris (FR), Peabody Essex Museum, Salem (USA); Nordenhake Gallery and Centro de Cultura Digital, Mexico City (MX); La Panacée, Montpellier (FR).
Melkonyan was a resident at Lafayette Anticipations and Martell Foundation.
He graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2017 and the San Francisco Art Institute in 2016. His diploma exhibition, "The Interview," was awarded the Thaddaeus Ropac Prize.
